Nihat has been very helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble. He booked us breakfasts and on the boat trip, which was very enjoyable.

Our first experience with Simpson Travel. Everything was first class! Helping us choose the most perfect location based on our desires to experience the real Turkey,to arranging a hire car and impeccable instructions how to get to our location! Our local concierge Niko in charge of Bozburun peninsula, visited us several times! Organised boat trips and gave us brilliant recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants which were all great! Niko represented Simpson Travel to the highest level! This was our first holiday in Turkey and Söğüt surpassed our expectations – it really was special. Locals are so friendly, welcoming and laid back – you can walk freely without any interruptions. We stayed local for the whole week, even with a car here. High recommend Nihat’s boat trips – we took two. All in, Waterfront Cottage has been a great week for us.

Waterfront Cottage was an absolute dream to stay at. If you are seeking a quiet, laid-back destination, with friendly neighbours and delightful restaurants to walk to, then this is your choice. Local food and drink was excellent, and the daytime activities are really around the harbour, soaking up the sun, swimming or out on one of the excellent boat trips. There are options to visit around the peninsula, but we never left Sogut for the whole week. The local concierge is also excellent and was always on hand to provide advice and recommendations.

Wonderful stay at the waterfront cottage the property is delightful and you are the envy of everyone passing by as it is such a stunning property. The outside space is fantastic and very private even though you are by the waters edge. Our favourite spot was on the upstairs terrace sipping our wine and watching the sunset.  Sogut is truly a special place so beautiful and tranquil and so nice to be away from the commercial trappings of so many destinations. We tagged on 3 nights at the Yenice Vadi hotel a great time staying in the tree house and being in a unique location experiencing traditional Turkish village life walking with the goats and enjoying the beautiful surroundings . Jessica our concierge couldn’t have been more helpful thank you Simpsons travel for another memorable holiday.

The most relaxing 2 weeks holiday we could imagine. Waterfront Cottage is lovely and the grounds and pool are fantastic. The bonus is being surrounded by excellent restaurants, literally a few paces away. Add to this the cracking sunset, the friendly people and wonderful community spirit - it's perfect - and not forgetting the charming owners. We cannot go without mentioning Jessica. Everything we asked, she did in a flash eg booking trips and restaurants.

This was our most relaxing holiday ever. The cottage is delightful and the grounds and pool are beautiful. Lovely to be so close to the sea and just a few steps away from an array of good restaurants, where we ate cheaply and well almost every night. The small but well stocked supermarket just round the corner and its so helpful owners, supplied everything else for breakfasts and lunches on the terrace overlooking the sea. For a breakfast boat trip with swims in beautiful still waters, just walk out of the garden gate and climb aboard (but book ahead). Despite everything we needed being there on our doorstep, Sogut is such a quiet and peaceful place. The thing we will take away from here, and hopefully return to, is that peace and the friendliness of all the local people we met, they made us feel welcome and at home. Added to all of this, Jessica is the best rep ever, nothing is too much for her. The whole holiday experience was well organised and went so smoothly. Thank you Simpsons, great job.

We have been trying to book Waterfront Cottage for a few years, but it was always snapped up. Now we have finally been, we understand why!!! 2 weeks of perfect location, people, food and drink. It was the most relaxing holiday in years and just what we wanted. Jess was superb in helping with things needed locally - and it was lovely to meet her! The cottage is so charming and peaceful. The decor is beautiful and sympathetic to the surroundings. The people and the food have been amazing, and Jess has been incredibly helpful too. A wonderful week's holiday before the proper start to the holiday season, weather beautiful, Waterside Cottage sits just as it says, on the waterfront with a gorgeous little picket fence, bobbing boats and yachts, so peaceful. Bozburun Peninsula, absolutely stunning. Local cafes and tavernas all so welcoming and always managed to overcome the language barrier somehow, the locals themselves very friendly. Freshly caught fish and local lamb... and the chips, amazing.

We started by exploring and visiting Datcha, Bahir, Sere and Tasilica (fascinating), the carpet factory (beautiful carpets but hard sell!), Bozburun and Selimiye, but gradually we did less and less! We started absorbing the peace, beauty and tranquillity of the place and sank into a slower and more restful pace of life enjoying the friendship and warmth of the people around us, absorbing their daily routines, savouring their wonderful food and soaking up those amazing sunsets. Our favourite time has been early morning when there is a special calm about the place and the water is still warm enough for a swim before breakfast! How we will wind back to our mad, hectic lives at home I don’t know. But there can’t be many places as beautiful as this left in the world so we shall have a lot to treasure. Very many thanks to Jessica for her help, patience and professionalism and to Merdene and her husband for looking after the house and garden.

The village is still the most beautiful place to salve your soul. The locals are very special and welcome us as a family each year. The views are ever changing so each moment is special. Mutlin on Happy Boats is a must. Snorkelling the many coves and seeing the flying fish as you sail. Thyssanos/Omar is fabulous and a great neighbour. Mehmets is wonderful. Go to Mavi A at the end of the road for a beautiful swim and if you are lucky you can swim with the turtle. Jessica is a gem. Sirdar and family at corner shop are the best people and could not be more helpful. Söğüt, we love you and will be back again next year. Merdene and her husband look after the house brilliantly.

A new experience for us – booking with a travel company, we normally book accommodation, flights, etc. ourselves. We won't be doing that again. The Simpson experience was faultless from picking the already running, therefore cool hire car at the airport, the excellent and helpful directions and being met at Departures on the return. A special mention to Jess, your local rep, ‘rep’ doesn’t do her justice – she's an Ambassador. Her help throughout the holiday was perfect and she is clearly well liked by the locals as well, what a delightful girl. We will be booking with you again soon.

We came here to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We’ve travelled the world and would normally we’d be dashing about trying to see everything. But this time we wanted a place where we could just stop – and relax. We certainly found it here at Waterfront Cottage. Absolutely perfect house and location. We couldn’t have designed anything more perfect. So, we didn’t go far apart from the local restaurants, a breakfast cruise and a drive to Bayir and back. The rest of the time we just soaked up the sun, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the people and the peace and tranquillity of the sea, plus the beauty of the garden. And I loved playing the beautiful old piano! Thanks to Jess for her unobtrusive help. We have certainly had an anniversary to remember.

Absolutely fantastic holiday! Thoroughly recommend Simpson, Söğüt, and this property! Waterside cottage is idyllic, perfect and wonderful, and the people of Söğüt are wonderfully welcoming, and overwhelmingly friendly. The area is also very lovely and interesting, but hard to tear oneself away from the paradise of this location and the people. Jess is lovely and sorts out everything in a very efficient and caring manner, and also full of very useful advice and always available. The locals are also amazing and lovely. Hard to leave, and felt like family everywhere we went.

We are sitting on the steps to the pool in this lovely, lovely garden feeling totally relaxed after a wonderful holiday her in this perfect little house and villas. We have been overwhelmed by the friendliness of literally everyone here. Jessica has been amazing sorting out everything and a great source of advice. Best day, trip on Ertan’s boat (just outside) with Murat – exceptional barbecue and snorkelling. All restaurants – fab – haven’t had a bad meal. You don’t need to go far – everything literally within metres. You cannot fail to have a wonderful time here.

Waterfront Cottage lived up to our expectations, the location is stunning and provided everything we needed for a week of complete relaxation. The village and locals couldn't be more friendly and welcoming, such a wonderful authentic experience of the real Turkey. We were slightly apprehensive that there may be too little to do in Söğüt, how wrong we were? There's more than enough to keep you occupied, either on the water (a boat trip is literally half a dozen steps from your front door), walking the trails, the surrounding villages and towns, sunbathing on the water’s edge, enjoying a drink whilst watching the sunset before dining in one of the few, but wonderful restaurants. It is a tranquil haven, we will be coming back to this area again – it's magical.

Couldn’t fail to have a great time here. Our favourites were a boat trip with Osman from Serce – took us to amazing coves to swim in and lovely bays with a goat herder, a walk with Ayhan – had a fantastic time. He will take you wherever you want and up to any ability. Incredibly knowledgeable about everything (perfect English). Get a real feel for the countryside. Jessica is so efficient – just sorts out everything.

Waterfront Cottage is always in our hearts. Söğüt is really the most wonderful haven and so good for our souls. It is like coming home every time. The friends we have here are forever. Do go on a boat trip with Mutlu and visit the waterfall early in the morning. Eat at Memhets and Thyssanos. We will be back again next year.

What an incredibly special house this is. In a very special village. Within a week this has felt like home, and for us the added bonus of four very cheeky kittens. We have spent hours watching them! Wonderful breakfast boat trip on Happy Boats just across from the gate. Crystal clear water to swim in and a fantastic breakfast. We visited most of the restaurants to the right of the house. Our favourite was Thyssanos, different mezze, all delicious and so very cheap. We like Barbara Savanda, but not sure the price reflected the food, but saying that it was really different from the normal food here – tempura clams and sashimi. Jessica is so kind and helpful and will book tables and trips. Suffice to say, I have already enquired about booking two weeks next year.

Our visit to Waterfront Cottage surpassed all our expectations. It’s a beautiful house with a huge amount of outside space, a fantastic sized pool, all in the wonderful village of Söğüt. Our “glorious twelfth” was arriving here for the first time. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Simpson spots we have experienced. Unspoilt and understated with great local cuisine and the most helpful people. Our favourites were a breakfast trip on the Ertans, a visit to the carpet factory at Turgut and barbecued fresh fish bought from the fish merchant in the upper village. Sundowners on the upper terrace will provide memories for ever. Simpson came up trumps again!

Waterfront Cottage is an absolute delight. Whilst just a one-bedroom property, the interior feels spacious both downstairs and upstairs. However, it is the outside space that makes this the perfect place to stay; the pool area, gardens and terraces are beautiful and so well maintained. The location could not be bettered. The restaurants and shops next door are so convenient and you really feel in the heart of the action, but not in the least in a peace-shattering or obtrusive way. This was our third visit to Söğüt but our first to Waterfront Cottage – hopefully not our last.

If this place was an egg, it would be ‘over easy’, so laid back and chilled it is horizontal. Have thoroughly enjoyed every second of our two weeks and shall be truly sorry to leave this little slice of paradise. From the scenic drives, to all the beautiful coves and villages, it has been quite magical. All this topped off with the warm and friendly hospitality of the locals welcoming you into their families as if you were one of their own. We have tried all the restaurants in here in Söğüt and a few in the surrounding villages and all are equally as good in their own special way. If you only visit one during your stay here make it the Kidon – Esen and his family are the most hospitable and friendly people who serve amazing food with a twist. Vine leaves stuffed with cherries sounds so wrong but tastes so right. Looking forward to the time when we can return to this part of Turkey. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Waterfront, Söğüt – beautiful, quaint villa that places you in the heart and soul of the village. Watch the fisherman bringing in the nets, the restaurants tending to the fruit and vegetables in their allotments, and the shepherd taking his goats for an early morning graze in the olive groves along the waterfront. Be prepared, and feeling like VIP guests, to say goodbye to everyone in the village before you leave.

Like others before, Söğüt has woven its magic around us. It is so rare to find such an unspoilt and friendly place. The waterfalls are worth visiting (but avoid when the Jeep safaris are there) as it is invigorating to swim in the pools. Relax and enjoy going back in time – catch the fishermen and women in the morning sorting out their catch, the goats being loaded and unloaded off the boats, the sheep being walked along the water's edge and grazing in the orchards and the beautifully kept allotment of vegetables.
