We have had several holidays with Simpson and our criteria is to look for hotels and villas within walking distance of a town or village to explore. Selimiye ticked all the boxes. It is a pretty little village with plenty of restaurants, an amazing vista and beautiful sea. Booking, travel arrangements and transfers were all up to the usual Simpson impeccable standard and we had a wonderful week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Losta Sahil Hotel. The hotel was small and friendly and was in the most beautiful setting. There was a small restaurant onsite where the breakfast was served. The breakfasts were incredible. We also ate lunch there most days and the food was lovely. The hotel also owned another restaurant in the same resort we ate there a few times and it was one of the best we went to. Selimiye is a fabulous resort. For those seeking peace and quiet during their holiday it is perfect and I would highly recommend it.

The perfect place to relax amidst beautiful scenery, good swimming, and delicious food. One of the joys was the almost entirely Turkish clientele in the town and the lack of English spoken in restaurants, shops and hotel matched our lack of Turkish and mattered not at all! We will return.

We enjoyed our week in Selimiye very much. It is a beautiful location with a vibrant little town with many good restaurants. Although primarily a Turkish resort, Losta Sahil Evi staff are friendly, exceptionally helpful and happy to speak English. They also work very hard. Tea and cake in the afternoon was a lovely surprise!

We visited Losta Sahil Eva for a week in June 2022. We absolutely loved it. Fantastic quiet location. Spotless rooms the cleaner was amazing. Amazing staff who were available morning through to night. Fantastic other guests. Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit & local pastries every day, eggs cooked however you liked them - just beautiful. The jetty to the sea amazing we saw turtles every day! The guests were fantastic enjoyed some pre dinner and post dinner drinks - we were only sad we only had one week. We had a very relaxed holiday at Losta Sahil Evi. The superb waterfront location is ideal for swimming and the view from our room Aura was stunning. Turkish breakfast is appetisingly served with choice of omelette, fried or boiled egg, Turkish cheeses, salad, fruit, olives and various jams & honey. The hotel has its own restaurant where we enjoyed a few evening meals as well as eating at a number of the excellent range of seafront restaurants which tempt on the way into Selimiye. Selimiye is sleepy in May with a few shops selling good quality Turkish goods. We loved the hotel and Selimiye and didn’t venture further afield!

This was our first hotel-type experience with Simpson and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is small enough to make you feel that you are staying with a family and yet the service is that of a boutique hotel. Great location, no traffic, lovely views and warm sea, nice sun jetty, and good access to local bars and restaurants. The rooms are a little dated and there are limited electrical sockets but then who spends their day in the room when you can be swimming, sunbathing, or spotting wildlife like fish, dolphins and turtles – as we did.

My husband and I spent a very relaxing week at Losta Sahil Evi staying in Aura with a veranda with stunning views of the bay. The Turkish breakfast was enough to take you through to the 4pm tea and cake delivered by staff to your sunbed on the lovely pontoon in front of the hotel. The hotel staff were lovely and Nihat, the rep, so helpful organising a boat trip and a tour to other villages. Selimiye was winding down as it was the first week in October but plenty of lovely fish restaurants still open. If you want a relaxing holiday swimming in the clear turquoise water, reading a book on the terrace or watching the locals fishing or yachts and gullets arriving as the sunsets then this place would suit you perfectly at this time of year.

Excellent holiday – accommodation was superb. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. Losta Sahil Evi is a perfect place to retreat – calm and beautiful, in a small fishing village. The staff are friendly and helpful. We hired a car so we could explore the surrounding area (but also used local buses). The rooms were clean and comfortable and an extensive Turkish breakfast each morning got each day off to a great start. We loved it.

Arrived on Sunday to watch the tail end of Storm Zorba blow up through the Bozburun Peninsula – certainly started our two weeks here at Losta with a bang. A great location to relax and unwind, the biggest decision of the day being which restaurant to visit. Our personal favourites were Uzum and Delice for wonderful fresh octopus, calamari and bass/bream. If you get the chance visit Söğüt, the windswept side just over the hills. A boat trip is a must to swim/snorkel in the clear waters. If not too hot, climb the hills behind you. And finally, everyone at Losta is wonderful. All smiles and warm heartedness.

What a wonderful place to stay. We have been so well looked after by all the staff. So many places to eat. The Losta Hotel Restaurant Paprika for coffee and cakes, Uzum, and if you like slightly bohemian pay visit to Delice. Also take a trip to the Loca Hotel up in the hills, great food and amazing views. They’ll also pick you up and drop you back. The most special day was when we went out in the Santa Maria boat for a day and were treated like royalty. Losta Sahil Evi is a little gem! It was wonderful to open the door early morning (06:10) and see the sun rising over the hills. We found if you opened it wide enough, it was shining on us sitting in bed! It is just a minutes’ walk to swim in the flat, calm sea and then dry off watching the tenders from the yachts going into the village for their bread. Then it is time for the most glorious breakfast. Magic!

We’ve really enjoyed our stay at the Losta Sahil Evi in Afrodit. A perfect combination of great weather, great food, great hospitality and a great location have all made for a memorable and relaxing week. Selimiye really is a wonderful place and we were so pleased to have discovered it! Try Paprika for refreshing fresh lemonade with mint. Best meal for me (a non-meat eater) was a swordfish kebab at the Aurora but we did not have a bad meal during our stay. We also ate at the hotel restaurant and Delice for spectacular views. The Loca restaurant is a must – wonderful at dusk. The hotel jetty is the best in Selimiye, great location away from the ‘main’ hubbub and on your doorstep. The breakfast is AMAZING and afternoon tea and cake provides a welcome break from sunbathing. Thank you so much to everyone for making our stay special!

Losta Sahil Evi was tranquil and beautiful offering complete rest with the option of excursions inland or at sea. The lunches were extremely good and Turkish tea with homemade cake at 4.30pm daily was a real treat. We stayed in Afrodit on the ground floor which has its own entrance and small terrace. The accommodation was very quiet, comfortable and cleaned daily. The Turkish breakfast served each morning from 8.30-10.30am in a covered area in front of the bar was both plentiful and delicious. The deck in close proximity to the room was simply fantastic, the subeds and parasols complete with Simpson Travel towels made it very easy to spend the whole day there. A lovely experience with excellent staff service throughout our stay.

We have enjoyed a wonderful week at the lovely Losta Sahil Evi Hotel and am sure we will come back in the future. We stayed in a balcony room named Aura and the comfort of the room was excellent, from a comfortable bed to an exhilarating shower! Food at the hotel was of a very high standard at both breakfast in the hotel and at the Losta Restaurant in the evenings of which we dined there on four evenings, waiting staff were always very attentive without being overbearing. Afternoon tea was a plus, cakes and dessert made by the lovely Zaneb (always happy and smiling). Orcun was always on hand to offer some Turkish phrases, cay, and a chat! Along with Ahmet the hotel manager, they made our stay that little bit more special. Finally a big thanks to Jessica, who gave us a lot of info on the area and some good suggestions for things to do and restaurants to visit, her knowledge of the area was invaluable, a wonderful holiday.  Thank you Simpson Travel.

We loved Losta Sahil Evi; it's hard to beat the location right on the waterfront and in a quiet spot, yet still close to centre of Selimiye. We stayed in Asia, which was really lovely, although both other rooms offered through Simpson Travel also looked very nice. I suspect there's not a bad choice. Our rep was so kind and thoughtful that we felt almost bad about not taking up any of her interesting trip suggestions and just lying on the swimming platform for a fortnight! If you are looking for a low-key break in a beautiful spot, and a small resort that still has a very Turkish feel, then you couldn't do much better.

Selimiye is the most beautiful spot to spend a holiday in Turkey, in terms of both the actual place and the accessibility of the hotel to shops and restaurants. Mr Phillips – September 2015 The BA flight was first class good service all round. It is nice to be met at the airport and taxis are ready waiting to transfer us to our destination. Our second year to Selimiye and the hotel and staff were once again excellent, very friendly and always willing to help that extra bit. The only problem is the food (you won't lose weight) at the hotel and any of the restaurants as it is so good!!! Thoroughly enjoyed. 11 out of 10.
