Kasbah hotels of the South

After breaking your journey at Ouarzazate, we suggest you spend a night or two at Kasbah Dar Daïf or Kasbah Ben Moro in Skoura, two authentic and friendly guesthouses.

From here you have the choice of following two scenic routes to the desert; the shorter route over the Jebel Sarhro Mountains along the oases and palm groves of the Draa Valley to Zagora, or the longer route, via the enchanting Dades Valley – the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs, with its ksours, kasbahs and mountain gorges.

In order to enjoy the wonderful scenery and allow yourself time to appreciate your surroundings and meet some local people, we recommend that you spend a few nights at one or more of our selection of kasbah hotels, en route to the desert.

Desert kasbah hotels are the stoppingoff points which allow you to visit and enjoy these unique areas. Standards and facilities may not be as high as in our other riads and hotels but this is more than made up for by their authentic atmosphere, friendliness and genuine willingness to please.
