Special Interest Holidays in Greece

Painting & Drawing - Flowers & Fauna - Walking - Culture & Food

With its diversity of stunning landscapes and history, lovely stone villages and whitewashed Byzantine churches and abundance of flora and fauna, this beautiful island offers many opportunities for Simpson Travellers to participate in and enjoy a variety of special interest holidays to discover the ‘real’ Crete.

Whilst we no longer offer the specific holiday departures, we can tailor-make the following tours for small groups of up to 12 persons for your requested dates, using our experienced tour leaders and local guides.

The spring and autumn months are the best months to plan your group trip, when the weather is a little cooler, there are fewer visitors, the skies and sea are brilliantly blue and the fields are full of colourful flowers or vines.

We can also tailor-make shorter special interest tours in Greece for smaller groups – for example 3-4 days’ walking, flowers, culture & food appreciation tours, using experienced local guides. So please contact one of our sales consultants to discuss your particular requirements.

We have based the prices on sample prices of our 2006 tours (minimum of 12 guests) travelling in April, May and October. All 2008 tours are subject to availability at the time of booking and prices will vary according to the size of your group, so please contact us for a quote.

For more details of all our tours and tour leaders, as well as the exact dates and sample prices, please click on one of the links below. Please note that all holidays include full board and there are no single room supplements.

All our Greece special interest holidays include:

  • Accommodation at either Arosmari Village Retreat or Galazio Kima
  • Full board* – consisting of breakfast, picnic or taverna lunch and dinner in the evening
  • All transfers on Crete
  • The services of our tour leaders and local team to ensure a professional and caring service
  • Return direct daytime charter flights from the UK to Chania and all taxes

*Each tour will have one rest day to allow you to relax and/or visit a place of interest, when the cost of meals is not included.

N.B. There are generally no single room supplements, although a two-bedroom house or apartment may be shared with another traveller of the same sex. Some single travellers to Greece may also be required to use a sofa bed in the living area. You will be advised of this at time of booking.
