Flora Cottage Greece, Skopelos

Flora Cottage is a peaceful hideaway for two with a terrace for sitting out and a path winding through a pretty garden to the swimming pool below. Stunning views across the hills, the terracotta roofs of Skopelos Town and the island’s rocky headlands stretch out to the beautiful Aegean Sea.

The house and pool are surrounded by old stone walls, olives and firs, and the only sound is of cicadas and birdsong. Yet from this delightfully private spot it is only a short drive to Skopelos Town and nearby beaches as well as to some of Skopelos oldest and most beautiful monasteries.

  • This has been a lovely stay at the end of the summer. For next year's visitors: don't miss the Three trees - it's the loveliest spot on the island. The food, especially the fish at Agnondas is great. All Marcia recommended was good. We wish we could take it all home! Mr Jones - September 2016
  • Peace and quiet - just what we found at Flora Cottage. The island is charming and a wonderful surprise. Do take the time to wander the streets of Skopelos Town which gives the feeling of being lived in today and managed from the past. It is beautifully kept and the people are welcoming. For beaches we can recommend Limnonari and Perivoli. To eat - nothing is bad, but our choices are Anna's, Perivoli, Zoupa and Kiratso Kitchen. Marcia - thank you for all your tips and suggestions. All very helpful! Mr Robertson - September 2016
  • Oh what an island! The smell of pine as you drive through the roads/tracks is so refreshing! So peaceful to sit in the shade of the pines that look out over the turquoise water. We have spent many hours wandering through the alleyways in the town and every time we found more streets and more churches. For food we recommend Agnanti in Glossa, Olivo and Molos in Skopelos. All had great food and really friendly staff. Marcia, thank you for all your advice and support. We were really well looked after, first by Jane in Skiathos and then by Marcia in Skopelos. Our 30th Wedding anniversary is definitely one we will remember fondly! Thank you again! Mrs Hilton - September 2016
  • We would like to thank Marcia for looking after us during our stay on this beautiful island. Coming, as we do, from Scotland the promise of outside dining is by far the loveliest sensation to be experienced during our stay in Skopelos. Although other highlights are many varied, our award for 'Highlight of the week' must go to The Limnonari Taverna where we 'gate-crashed' a Mamma Mia themed wedding reception. Outstanding experience! Mrs Baxter - August 2016
  • Simpsons never fail to deliver a hassle free service from start to finish to ensure everything from booking to travel to accommodation is easy and efficient and the properties are always well chosen and wonderful in setting and form. The representatives once there could not be more helpful. Ms Handford - August 2016
  • We have had a wonderful week in Flora Cottage. We fell in love with this cottage and the island - a week is not long enough. We had a couple of cloudy days which gave us the opportunity to explore the island. The 'Mamma Mia' chapel is worth a visit. After we went to a cafe at the top of Glossa. Our favourite beach was Limonari but get there early. The main highlight was the cottage itself, such an idyllic setting and the views, particularly at night from both balconies is breathtaking. Marcia couldn't have been more helpful - thank you! Mr Handford - August 2016
  • We have had a wonderful week at Flora Cottage, with very nice weather. It's our fourth Simpson villa and again, it has been as we have come to expect, firstly and most important for us, private! It's well equipped villa and has a gorgeous pool. We are not really beach bunnies, we came to chill and enjoy Greek cuisine. Agnanti in Glossa is very good, very welcoming hosts and service. Muses on the left before you reach town is also very good, both in service and food. We had pleasant lunches in the taverna overlooking the port. Perivoli has lovely gardens, good food, wine and it is lovely to sit and eat under the vines. Lastly, a thanks to Marcia for advice and gift we hope to return! Mrs Johnstone - June 2016
  • Our first time travelling with Simpson and we were impressed from start to finish. Having travelled with many tour operators we can honestly say that this is the best experience we have ever enjoyed. Mr Farmer - May 2016
  • This is the most peaceful and tranquil place. The location is fabulous with the views in the distance of Skopelos Town, the sea and the beautiful green countryside all around. We have been fortunate to see Skopelos island at the very beginning of the season so it has been very quiet everywhere with sometimes a beach to ourselves. The food is great and good value with our favourites being Muses on the Harbour road and Alexander's up the hill in the town. We also liked Swell Bar on the harbour road for a pre-dinner drink. We've had several days by the pool as we walked to appreciate all that Flora Cottage offers. The goats came to view us by the pool one afternoon looking through the fence one by one - which was quite amusing. We particularly liked Limonari beach. Definitely worth a visit to the 'Mamma Mia' chapel, but go early before the boat loads arrive. Skopelos town is charming, characterful place and great to wander round the narrow streets with its artisan, stylish shops. Glossa is also definitely worth a visit. As for Marcia - well what can we say - she has been so helpful in every way, nothing is too much trouble and she knows the island so well. It has been so interesting talking to her. She is a great asset to Simpson. We hope to return to this island next year. Mr Farmer - May 2016
  • We have had truly fabulous time here in Flora Cottage. We've had lots of good restaurant experiences. Zoupa, Kyratsos Kitchen, Anna's, Gousto. The courtyard bar up the steps from the white church is for whiling away for an hour with magnificent views. The Mamma Mia chapel was a wonderful experience - Kastani beach and Agios Ioannis are well worth the 199 steps. Also, as Marcia will tell you, go after 1 pm or before 11 am. We enjoyed shopping in Skopelos town with its lovely artisan shops. Marcia is a lovely lady and a fantastic ambassador for Simpson Travel. What she doesn't know about Skopelos isn't worth knowing! Our main highlight of course was Flora Cottage - a perfect place to spend some time. We've watched the beautiful views from the balcony and the pool. It is a magical place to stay! What a lovely holiday! Thank you Simpson! Mr Barnes - September 2015
  • A fantastic two weeks spent at Flora Cottage. Never been to Skopelos before but have found it to be the most beautiful and traditional of the Greek islands we have visited. The peace and tranquility have been a welcome relief to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Marcia is undoubtedly the best rep we have ever had! Her knowledge of the island encouraged us to get our and about, and visit the attractions the island has to offer. At the end of Stafilos beach follow the track and you will come to Velanio beach. We went late afternoon and found it a haven of tranquility. Watching the sun go down was very special. The Mamma Mia Chapel was well worth a visit. The views as you drive along the coastal road were breathtaking. The Three trees area is beautiful and is ideal for snorkeling. The pool in the villa also offers stunning views. Our favourite restaurants were Muses, Anna's and Agnanti in Glossa - all have wonderful food and are worth a visit! We hope to come back one day! Mrs Foster - August 2015
  • Totally impressed from start to finish of our holiday. Very professional and knowledgable staff, wonderful accommodation-true to description on website. Our rep was superb and went over and above our expectations to help and advise us to get the very best from our holiday. Thank you Simpson Travel for making our dream holiday a reality! Mrs Foster - August 2015
  • Our first part of the holiday in Flora Cottage has been unbeatable! Highlights so far were Marcia - brilliant person, full of help and advise, Anna's restaurant, the peace and space in the villa, the pirate graves in Sedoukia and Panormos beach. Looking forward to our second week in Gardenia Cottage! Mr Seed - August 2015
  • It has been an interesting week to stay at Flora Cottage. We have truly enjoyed our time in Skopelos. The island is beautiful and verdant. Blue skies, crystal clear water and friendly people. Some of our highlights are a trip to Agios Ioannis climbing the 220 steps to the top was worthwhile but go early to avoid crowds; a sailing trip to nearby Alonissos and visiting the old town of Chora; lunch at Agnanti - delicious food with a wonderful view from the balcony; eating fresh fish at Pavlo's in the beautiful bay of Agnontas; Ambrossia Patisserie in Skopelos Town for mouth watering baklava and walnut pie, never mind the honey-balls. And don't forget to visit the monasteries up the hill. Flora Cottage is beautiful. We have loved the magical views from the balcony, especially at night time. Relaxing around the pool is so peaceful! Marcia is an exceptional Simpson representative - very helpful with lots of local information. We have many memories to take home with us! Mr Maude - June 2015
  • Great week and lovely weather! We relaxed by the pool, which is a godsend when the weather is hot, walked to the Limnonari and Kastani beaches, went kayaking and spent an excellent day with great people. Our favourite places to eat were Agnanti in Glossa and Anna's in Skopelos town. Marcia is just brilliant - nothing too much trouble for her. Very relaxing holiday! Mr McLauchlan - June 2015
  • Flora Cottage is truly breathtaking! Everything you might need has been thought of in the villa; the pool is delightful and the views are stunning! To sit and watch the sunset from the balcony was one of the many highlights. Even if you have never done it before, a day of kayaking is, in our opinion, a 'must do' Paddling through the crystal clear waters around the Mamma Mia church and visiting hidden, white, sandy beaches was unforgettable. Limnonari beach is beautiful for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling. The Three trees area is a beautiful spot and also good for snorkeling. The best places for eating were Alexander's at the top of the town - very peaceful; also Muses - very friendly staff. Agnanti in Glossa was gorgeous and we were very lucky to have a balcony table! Marcia is a mine of useful information. Thank you all for a fabulous holiday/honeymoon! Mr Cowan - June 2015
  • We were delighted to come back to Skopelos and Flora Cottage having had such a lovely time last year. It was a wonderfully relaxing fortnight. - October 2014
  • Had a fabulous week, loved the peacefulness and privacy of the villa, enjoyed exploring and felt very relaxed. Mr and Mrs Woodhouse - August 2014
  • 'The road less travelled' - I was at a slight loss to understand what this meant before our holiday to Skopelos in Greece (This being our first time with Simpsons). Well when we got to our villa and completed the journey there, I fully understood what this actually meant to me as the traveller. Our villa was well off the beaten track but was unique for it. The views were just outstanding - Never had I seen such a panorama from every window and balcony! Our Simpsons rep (Marcia) was knowledgeable, kind courteous and extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the villa was exceptional and so were the facilities. My wife and I felt we had been on holiday for weeks after only the first 24 hours - a feat in itself. Thank you Simpsons and Marcia. Mr Gaind - August 2014
  • What a lovely time we had! Scopelos is a beautiful island where everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We spent two weeks either lounging by the pool or stretched out on a nearby beach. Nowhere was too far to get to and if you wanted to search out a little cove to take your picnic, you could! Flora cottage was everything we wanted. Comfy and airy. The air-conditioning in the bedroom was a godsend. The welcome pack when we arrived set us up until we could shop. There are plenty of bakeries and grocery shops in the nearby town. The countryside around us was full of goats, their bells ringing, chickens and a donkey braying! Very relaxing and far from the madding crowd! We would definitely recommend this holiday and would love to go back. Mrs Martin - June 2014
  • What a lovely two weeks we have had at Villa Flora. The time has flown by doing very little. We've been around and about the places recommended by Marcia and previous holiday makers and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Skopelos is a beautiful island and its people are so friendly and welcoming. Mr and Mrs Martin - June 2014
  • Skopelos and Flora cottage has been a return to Greece after a seven year break and we could not have wished for a finer re-introduction. This time of year has been magical the island is not only beautiful but it has filled us with a plethora of simple delights, the still mornings with the vibrant birdsong, the tinkling of goat bells, the diversity of colourful flowers and the herb scented air. A total restorative. - May 2014
  • Flora Cottage is delightful and so peaceful. It has spoilt us for other villas! Skopelos is a lovely island for a peaceful and gentle holiday. Marcia and the owners were so friendly and helpful. It was lovely to return to the Greek islands after a gap of four years. Mr and Mrs Griffith - September 2013
  • "Happy Honeymooners" - we enjoyed a great 2 weeks on the island, especially the delights (and vocal sounds) of Neville the donkey and the chickens, enjoying breakfast with the 'Itchy' and 'Scratchy' the kittens, and nightly animal spotting of huge hedgehogs! Explore the island at your leisure - there are a lot of fabulous sunsets and food to be enjoyed. Thank you to the owners and Marcia for your friendly chats and help when needed, much appreciated! Mr and Mrs O'Mahony - August 2013
  • We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday at Flora Cottage - we feel so lucky to have spent some time at this superb retreat with views you never tire of! We have so many wonderful memories. We were especially captivated by the church on the hill at Agios Ioannis - made famous by the Mamma Mia film - but a magical spot regardless. The many beaches also deserve a visit. Enjoy it all as we did! Mr and Mrs Tomlin - May 2013
  • We came to relax and unwind. To leave the stress of life in the UK behind. The journey was long and frustrating. But we looked forward to all that was waiting. We were not to be disappointed; Flora Cottage was so well appointed. High on a hill over Skopelos town, the view never ever let us down. Kostas and Martina were both perfect hosts. Marcia had the most informative tips for each day, ensuring we had a truly wonderful stay. The walking was challenging, with paths that in places we had difficulty managing, but once at the top, the view will make you stop and gaze at the beauty surrounding you. Now we are rested and the packing is done. We prepare for our return to reality that must come. However, in one year we will be back. Mrs Marshall - August 2012
  • The Honeymooners We came away to have some fun and celebrate our wedding vows. What better place to be than this Flora Cottage oh! What bliss! With such a view it was a difficult choice. The pool, the view and let the world go by? Or explore the land and see the sights. So we spent our time between the two! The beaches we liked were more than a few, but one we liked best Limnonari was our favourite by far, with sun and sand as well as a bar! Stafilos was great but parking is tight, once on the beach it was a glorious sight. Milia is another beach we enjoyed for a day. Not too busy and all that you need. Don’t take our word for it, just take a look, but there are plenty of others, just take a look. The driving is fun, but be on your guard. The middle of the road is rarely observed! Certainly corners need careful attention. And parking seems easy, just find a hole! Wherever you eat it is all such a treat. Do take a boat if you can. We recommend the older more traditional one. The trip to Alonisos was wonderful and fun. The team have been brilliant throughout our adventure and Marcia will do all she can to make your stay great. Kostas and Martina are perfect hosts with their cottage much more then we hoped. We cannot praise everything about Skopelos enough, the people, the places, the sights and cream tarts. We couldn’t have found a more perfect place for a honeymoon that will forever be in our hearts. Mrs Harland - August 2012
  • We can only echo the comments made previously – a beautiful location, lovely to sit out on the terrace or by the pool and relax. The views are wonderful, watching hawks hovering and butterflies flapping past. Recommend strongly: Drive up the hill (at the end of travel to Flora) and keep on going. Press on as road deteriorates, when you reach the end of road walk to Monasterio Taxiarchon - unbelievably beautiful. Flora Cottage is charming, comfortable, and clean - we felt very well looked after by Kostas. Marcia was a mine of information, friendly and attentive. Superb week. Ms Quinn - August 2012
  • 1st of all we must say a big thank you to Simpson Travel. Never used them before but certainly will again. Particular thanks to Marcia – she gave us lots of advice and it was all very good. Thank you. This is our 1st visit to Skopelos but hopefully not our last, as we drove up to the chapel on the rock, we were greeted by one breathtaking view after another – well worth a visit. Finally Flora Cottage, everything has been exactly what we wished for, a truly relaxing location from which to view the hustle and bustle of the busy town and port below. Thank you to Kostas the owner for providing such a perfect holiday home. Mrs Standen - July 2012
  • The end of our fabulous fortnight on Skopelos is now in sight but I’m sure that we’ll be back before too long. It is right up at the top of our favourite island list alongside Paxos. Flora Cottage has been so peaceful and secluded (give or take the chickens, cicadas and rather vocal donkey) and yet all the hustle and bustle of Skopelos town is so close by. We have enjoyed watching the graceful soaring birds of prey. We have had a couple of entertaining evenings by the pool, with the pool lights on. watching the bats swooping back and forth. The pool is gorgeous and has been a lifesaver during our second week when temperatures have hit 40 degrees on some days. We had an exciting moment one day when they rescued a hen and 5 chicks from the bushes outside the kitchen window! Marcia has been very informative and friendly with lots of tips to make our holiday enjoyable, and we know that she would have been on hand to help had we needed it. Beaches: Most are fairly crowded at this time of year but we liked Glysteri, Stafylos and Milia. Kastani was interesting and well executed but not for us. We would have liked to have explored the far end of the island, but will have to wait for cooler weather to do that. Highlights: Ag Ioannis for the Mamma Mia moment – we went quite early. So dramatic! Loutraki and the swallows flashing past our heads. All in all a wonderful much needed relaxing break. Thank you Simpson Travel – our batteries are recharged for now, but we will be back! INCLUDED IN YOUR CAR HIRE

  • Unlimited mileage
  • Local taxes and compulsory insurance
  • Two main drivers. Please note that there is a minimum age for drivers (minimum ages vary from 21 to 25 and can be advised at the time of booking) although there is no maximum age limit. Drivers must hold a British/EU Driver’s Licence or International Driver’s Licence, held for at least 2 years. You will not be able to hire a car without your original, valid Driver’s Licence which you must carry at all times when you are driving. Please also take the counterpart of your licence if you hold a photo licence.

CAR INSURANCE
Please note that in most cases you will need to pay an ‘excess’ in the event of theft or damage to your hire car, regardless of blame. As amounts and conditions vary throughout Greece, please ensure you ask for full details at collection, before you sign your car hire contract. The excess charge ranges from €300 to €1,000 dependent on your destination. Where an ‘excess’ applies, it may be possible to purchase extra insurance locally, which reduces or cancels the ‘excess.’

The insurance with or without the excess will not cover:

  • Tyres, including puncture repairs
  • Loss of or damage to car keys (and costs incurred due to this, for example towing and replacement keys, etc.)
  • Windscreen, wing mirrors or undercarriage (you should not drive off-road)
  • Interior of car is also not covered in Corfu and Paxos
  • Personal Accident Insurance (this should be covered by your personal travel insurance)
  • Any damage, loss, accident, theft, attempted theft, etc. caused by your own negligence, for example, driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful driving, driving off-road, using wrong type of fuel, unlocked doors, apparent personal effects, etc.

CAR HIRE DEPOSIT
The car hire agents will require you to lodge a credit card deposit when you collect your car. No money will be taken if you return the undamaged car at the correct time with the correct amount of fuel and not requiring cleaning.

CHILD SEATS
Child and baby seats (forward facing seats only are available) can be provided if booked at least 2 weeks prior to your departure and are charged at £2 per day. Please remember to specify the age of the child. Local car hire and Simpson Travel staff are not authorised to install the child seats and as style and installation may differ to those in the UK, you may prefer to bring your own child seat for your own peace of mind.

TRANSFER INFORMATION
Please refer to the information at the top of the page for details of the transfers included in the cost of your holiday. Taxis are licensed and insured to carry up to 4 passengers. Therefore, if there are 4 passengers and an infant then 2 taxis are needed and we will provide you with a separate quotation. If you are travelling with young children or babies, child seats are not provided for any vehicles used for transfers. For your own peace of mind, we recommend that you bring your own although there is no guarantee that local taxi companies will allow the use of child seats. Please note that the transfer times included in our accommodation details are approximate estimates only and do not include any waiting time.

Although we pre-arrange and book your ferry crossings in advance, poor weather or ferry cancellations may disrupt the schedules. In most cases, when you arrive at the port you will have to wait a certain amount of time for your onward boat transfer. If your flight experiences delays and you miss your pre-booked boat transfer, we will then book you onto the next available boat. If you miss the last ferry due to a flight delay or cancellation due to poor weather, it may be necessary for you to overnight at the port and then take the ferry the following morning.

ACCOMMODATION AND USEFUL INFORMATION

Air-conditioning and heating
We have indicated in the property descriptions which accommodation has air-conditioning included in the holiday price. Heating is available in some of our properties during the low season weeks, which is normally included in the holiday price.

Animals and wildlife
As in all rural communities, indigenous animals are an essential part of the way of life. The braying of a donkey, crow of a cockerel or the barking of a dog is not a complaint that receives much sympathy from the locals! Care should be taken to minimise the presence of insects and animals in your accommodation. Keep surfaces clean, dispose of refuse regularly and ensure that food is not left uncovered. Cats and dogs are often resident where an owner or manager lives on the property. If you are allergic to cats and/or dogs please ensure that you check the suitability of your chosen accommodation with us prior to confirming your booking.

Barbecues
We have specified if a barbecue is available at your accommodation. Please note that often in summer, due to the hot weather, use of your barbecue may not be allowed and/or strict rules for its use may apply. The local or national government reserves the right to introduce new rulings at any time, often with little prior notice, prohibiting the use of barbecues to reduce the risk of fires. Where a barbecue is not provided, it is usually because the surroundings are considered a fire risk or inappropriate for the use of barbecues.

Beach/pool towels
We provide Simpson Travel beach/pool towels in all our self-catering properties and Simpson Hotels, and these are normally laundered weekly.

Beds
Please note that a double bed could be two single beds placed together. Double beds usually measure 140cm x 190cm and single beds 80/90cm x 190cm. If you are booking a hotel room, please let us know your room preference (double or twin). Although we will make every effort to convey your request to the hotel, we cannot guarantee your preference will be available.

Check-in and check-out
You will usually be able to occupy your villa, apartment or hotel after 4pm and you must vacate it on the day of departure by 10am and 9:30am in western Crete.

Cleaning
Self-catering accommodation is cleaned a minimum of twice a week (including arrival day) and some accommodation may be cleaned more often. Cleaning usually consists of a sweep, mop, bathroom and kitchen tidy up.  (N.B. Simpson Secret, Anti Paxos is cleaned once a week on changeover day.)

Distances and timings
Please note that all walking and driving times stated are approximate estimates only. Transfer times are also approximate estimates only and do not include any waiting time.

Half-board
Hotel bookings with half-board include dinner, which is usually a fixed menu with or without a choice of dishes. In some hotels, you may take your half-board meal at lunchtime.

Health and safety
Simpson Travel is committed to raising the standards of health and safety throughout all our destinations. Our guests’ safety and wellbeing is of the highest importance to us. However, please note that since many of our properties are private homes, it is not always possible to meet the same exacting standards as in the UK. In your accommodation we will provide any necessary health and safety information. We ask you to familiarise yourself with this information and the property on arrival, particularly when travelling with children, and to raise any concerns with your local representative.

In some properties a baby monitor has been provided and to the best of our knowledge it is operating correctly but it is vital that you check regularly that the device is operating to your satisfaction. We strongly advise against relying on the baby monitor in case of malfunction. Simpson Travel cannot be held liable for any malfunction of the baby monitor and the use of the device is entirely at your own risk.

Internet access and connection
If a property offers wifi or internet access, the type of connection may vary. Additionally, the signal could be intermittent at times and may not be available in all areas of the property. There may be a charge for internet use in some properties.

Linen and laundry
Bed and bathroom linen is provided and usually laundered twice weekly. For your convenience some of our properties have a washing machine.

Noise and building works
Traffic, farm work, roadwork, animals and other sounds form part of everyday life, however, what constitutes ‘noise’ to one person may not be a problem for another. Please let us know if you have any special needs regarding this. Occasionally, building work is unavoidable as we do not control such work and may not know about it in advance. Whenever possible, we will notify you of any work that we believe may affect your holiday.

Occupancy
Only guests named on your invoice are entitled to occupy the accommodation.

Plumbing
Throughout Greece, especially in the older houses, the plumbing system is not designed to have items flushed down the lavatory. Where necessary, bins are provided in all bathrooms.

Satellite television
We cannot guarantee that a full selection of satellite channels will be available. Channels in English may be very limited and these are often only CNN or BBC World.

Seasonal facilities
Some facilities are subject to weather conditions and the general season, for example swimming pools, restaurant terraces, pool bars, local restaurants, and they may be limited or unavailable at the beginning or end of the season. Please do not hesitate to check with us, should a particular facility be a necessity to you.

Security and cleaning deposits
For self-catering properties, we require you to lodge a security deposit against any breakages, damage, losses, extra cleaning or outstanding accounts, which you may have incurred during your stay and/or due to your negligence. This should be provided by credit or debit card at the time of booking by providing authorisation for us to deduct (within 14 days of your return home) any advised charges from your card. Most of our properties are the owners’ personal homes and repairs, replacements and extra cleaning can be very expensive, so we do ask you to take care in order to avoid incurring extra costs.

Swimming pools
Swimming pool details are given on our website. Pool dimensions are approximate only and, unless specified otherwise, pools are freshwater and unheated. In Paxos most pools are filled using ‘sweet water’, which is generally a mix of well water (with some salt content) and fresh water. Dates when pools are operational are subject to the prevailing weather conditions at the time of opening and closing and we cannot be held responsible if poor weather means the pool is opened later, or is closed earlier in the season.

Upon arrival at your accommodation, we kindly ask you to acquaint yourselves with the pool’s safety and hygiene rules. Very few pools have covers, fencing or life rings, so children must be supervised at all times. Some pools are ‘infinity pools’ which have an exposed pool edge with an unprotected drop. This maximises views and is an attractive feature of the pool. We recommend that children are supervised and that you do not sit, lean or walk on the unprotected edge.

Villa owners
Whilst the owners or staff of some properties may live on site and tend to the grounds, they are aware that you value your privacy, and will do their best not to intrude. We do ask you, however, to allow them reasonable access to the property so that they can maintain the grounds and keep them in good order.

Welcome Pack
We offer a welcome pack in all our self-catering accommodation consisting of a small selection of staple items and local produce. This usually includes the following complimentary items: coffee, tea bags, milk, bottled water, fruit juice, bread, butter/margarine, crisps, white wine, local beers, tonic, pasta, pasta sauce, yoghurt, honey, regional biscuits, washing powder, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing-up sponge, salt and pepper, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, mixed herbs and toilet paper.

Our choice of Greek properties is as diverse as the islands themelves, ranging from simple seaside charm to genuine luxury and style. Much of our portfolio is privately owned, and price alone is therefore not a universal guide.

We contract all our accommodation in person, and each property has its individual appeal. To help you make the right choice based on your own priorities, we have devised a simple grading guide to be considered in conjunction with each individual property description, awarding up to a maximum of five stars for the below categories.

Grading Criteria:
