La Casa Bianca - Stella Corsica, Porto Vecchio & Bonifacio

Attractive modern accommodation this close to a beach is rare in Corsica, so Casa Stella, just 20 metres from the sea, is a real find. The small, seaside hamlet of Pinarello sits on one of southern Corsica's most beautiful bays, just north of Porto Vecchio, and has a few houses, beach restaurants and a church. Days can start with a leisurely breakfast on a cafe terrace, followed by either relaxation or water-sports on the beach, before spending the evening under the stars at a local restaurant, and in August, tiny Pinarello even plays host to a Jazz festival. A string of beaches further north and south are within easy reach and day trips into the mountains for walks or a swim in rock pools are only a drive away, as is the more lively Porto Vecchio.

  • We had a fantastic holiday. It was our first experience of Simpson Travel and they did not let us down. We would definitely travel with Simpson Travel again. Mr Wood - June 2016
  • Very well organised from start to finish of our holiday. Excellent and knowledgeable rep, not intrusive but contactable. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Corsica as we like to do our own thing ,but require a base of excellent quality to relax. Simpson's have provided us with this and met our expectations. Mr Bailey - September 2015
  • We enjoyed the Simpson experience very much and can recommend to anyone looking for a well run holiday organisation a cut above the rest. We found ourselves giving lots of appreciative affirmations at the many times Simpsons got the basics and the unexpected right. So reassuring to know your hard earnt cash buys you such holiday satisfaction, Well done Simpsons, we are already thinking which Simpsons 'road less travelled' shall we take next. Karen Askwith Mrs Askwith - September 2015

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Corsica and beautiful Pinarello village.Amazing island and a must see. The apartment location was perfect with amazing view. The flight and all the arrangements by Simpson Travel were very organised. We will definitely go back. Ms Naghavian - August 2014
  • This two weeks was everything that we had been looking forward to. We've been to Corsica three times before and it was great to have two weeks so that we were able to completely relax, spending most of the first week on the beach. We had an early morning swim nearly every day. The weather has been the best ever. Hardly any rain, mostly glorious sun and warm - at times quite windy but still great for all that we wanted to do. The apartment is excellent and we loved being able to come and go whenever we pleased. We also had great days out visiting Bonifacio, Propriano, Zonza and Cotte. We will never tire of this lovely place to rest and be refreshed, the view, the flat, the beach and the scenery all make for a great holiday. We hope to return next year. The owner's hospitality and representative's help have been the icing on the cake. Mr and Mrs Holden - September 2013
  • What a wonderfully relaxing holiday! The flat was super comfortable with great views, the easy proximity of a choice of glorious beaches and great places to eat- could not have asked for more. Thank you Simpson Travel for your great organisation. Ms Levy - September 2013
  • This was a wonderfully relaxing and well organised holiday. Ms Levy - September 2013
  • We had a relaxing week - great apartment , a view one will never tire of and lovely beaches. Its our fifth holiday on Corsica and no doubt we'll be back. Thank you. Mr Atwell - August 2013
  • This was by far one of the most enjoyable holidays for us. It was our first time to Corsica and we had the best time. Right away we were stunned by the beautiful view from our apartment and spent a lot of time on the balcony relaxing. We tried nearly all the restaurants on the streets and had the most amazing meals. Our day trip to Bonafacio was so much fun as well. We did a boat tour, which showed us some amazing views of the island. There were wonderful shops and cute streets filled with restaurants and the locals were all very friendly. We visited many of the breath taking beaches. All in all, we had a great holiday in Corsica and have many wonderful memories. This will always be a special place for us and hope to return soon! Woods - July 2013
  • Our first time in Corsica and we have enjoyed a fabulous week at Casa Bianca. Loved the food at the local restaurant and the Corsican wine. Never tired of the view and how relaxing Pinarello is... never seems to be too busy like some of the other places we visited. Enjoyed our other visit to Bonifacio and a drive up to the mountains via Col de Bavella and Zonza. If you are after a relaxing holiday you don't have to look further than Pinarello... beautiful beach, restaurants and scenery. No doubt we will be back. Thanks to Willie and the staff at Simpson Travel. Sapsed- Byrne - July 2013
  • This was our first sunshine holiday as a couple without any of our four 'children'. It was also our first visit to Corsica and we absolutely loved it- we definitely intend to return. The view from the apartment takes your breath away and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony soaking up the ambience. Willie gave us a really good introduction to the island, and some great pointers for things to do. We loved Bonifacio and the boat trip was excellent. One of our favourite trips was to the rock pools along the river Cavu which is really close by. Everyone is so friendly- brilliant holiday! Marechal - July 2013
  • The morning view out of the apartment is priceless. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Views and sights are outstanding! Planning our return already. Mr and Mrs Anderson - June 2013
  • Spent a lovely two weeks at Casa Bianca Stella. Loved sitting on the veranda watching village life and the view and the bay was stunning. Loved all the usual Porto Vecchio, Bonifacio and the long drive to Sartene was well worth it through the lovely little villages. Willie was a real help to us- very informative as this being our first visit to Corsica. Will miss our morning walk on the beach which is beautiful, as are memories of the past two weeks. Mrs Parke - May 2013
  • Well appointed, comfortable apartment. Fine view over the bay. Good beach for swimming. Bonifacio is beautiful and a boat trip along the coast is excellent. The other big local town, Porto Vecchio is also attractive and like Bonifacio is on two levels. The outstanding scenic attraction is the route D268 from Solenzara to Porto Vecchio. It included magnificent views of the Col de Bavella, somewhat reminiscent of Yosemite. Halfway round the trip, Zonza is an attractive hill town with good restaurants and superb views. Mr and Mrs Murray - September 2012
  • nice 1, ta very much Mr Hallam - September 2012
  • Enjoyed two wonderful weeks in Casa Bianca Stella – loved our view of Pinarello Bay and its Genoese tower. Our first visit to Corsica – what a stunning and interesting island. Enjoyed walking through the narrow alleys in Sartène - don’t miss it. The views of the Aiguilles de Bavella on our walk in the Alta Rocca were breath-taking and will stay in my memory box – along with Zonza. Mr and Mrs Stokes - July 2012
  • An excellent holiday from a company providing an excellent service for people who want to be independent but dont have time or inclination to book holday themselves and want a llttle extra security if something goes wrong and assistance is required. Mrs Stokes - July 2012
  • Another wonderful holiday here in Corsica and first time here in Casa Bianca Stella. We have had a lovely relaxing week here, loved living in Stella and staying in Pinarello. Enjoyed all the local restaurants, lots of walking on the beach (almost made it to the fort opposite) but decided rock climbing was not on the list ‘to do’ while on holiday. Hope to be back next year. Mr and Mrs Felstead - July 2012
  • Thank you for making our holiday one to remember. Mrs Wareing - June 2012
  • The two weeks here were glorious, 29?- 34? - no rain. The scenery and drama of the whole island have been awe-inspiring. Plenty of beaches, all of a high standard, (and no litter!). Highlights for us were the Bavella area and waterfall walks. Also the boat trip around ‘les cavettas’ from Bonifacio were excellent. I would avoid the trip from Pinarello, too long, too expensive, too crowded. Thoroughly enjoyable and will be returning one day. Mr & Mrs Wareing - June 2012
