  • The upmarket bar and waterfront restaurant at the Hôtel and Spa des Pécheurs. Here’s a preview of the menu

  • La Ferme, a popular, buzzy restaurant, is on the highest point of the island up a path of rocky steps. Ask James or Whitney to book you a VIP table for food with a view.

There’s also a gym, pool, sauna, whirlpool bath and private yoga and pilates lessons. And if you can’t bear to be inside, there’s a tented massage table by the pool too.  

There is a charge of €20/person/day for the use of the hotel's swimming pool, beach club and gym.

On Corsica:
Boats leave for Piantarella Port on Corsica 4-6 times daily.  The crossing takes around 20 minutes, and from here you can easily access the myriad attractions of Southern Corsica with your hire car, including: 

  • Porto Vecchio old town and harbour: chic shops, dining, people watching. 
    A 30-minute drive from Piantarella.
  • Bonifacio: historic cliff-top town, with restaurants, boat trips, diving. 
    A 10-minute drive or take the 9am ferry which reroutes to Bonifacio, allowing direct access to the town for a few hours before returning to Cavallo.
  • L’Ospedale Forest: walking, canyoning, mountain villages, natural rock pools for swimming.
    An hour’s drive from Piantarella.
  • Beaches: many outstanding beaches between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio including Palombaggia, Rondinara and Petit Spérone
  • Sperone Golf Course18-holes set in dramatic scenery.
    A two-minute drive from Piantarella.  
  • Windsurfing: Santa Manza beach, Piantarella beach
  • Stand-up paddleboards: Piantarella beach
