Spain active

Both Andalucía and Mallorca offer a wide variety of enjoyable activities to suit all tastes. We can tailor-make holidays for individuals or small groups to include any of the following options.

Walking
Only on foot can you fully appreciate the true glory of these beautiful landscapes and experience nature at close quarters. The invaluable Sunflower guides to Andalucía and Mallorca offer an excellent selection of walks at all levels, from gentle rambles to mountain treks, as well as car tours and great picnic spots.

Spa treatments
Some of our hotels offer spa and beauty treatments – we can particularly recommend the Wellness Centre in the Hotel Bon Sol, in Mallorca – ideal for a pampering short-break at any time of the year.

Bird watching
Stephen Daly, who is based on the Costa de la Luz, offers a guiding service to the best sites in this paradise for bird watchers. This service is available all year round and we would be delighted to arrange a day or two’s outing with Stephen for you. This can be organised at the time of booking or prior to your departure from the UK.

Hot-air ballooning
For a unique and memorable holiday experience we can arrange an early morning flight over the magnificent Serranía de Ronda with a glass of Cava followed by an alfresco breakfast – what better way to start the day!

Groups
We can also tailor-make special itineraries for walkers, photographers, cyclists or birdwatchers based at many of our properties. Our sales team will happy to quote for a flexible holiday to suit your specific requirements.

Golf
Spain’s glorious weather, superb courses and reasonable green fees, make an excellent choice for golfers. Both Andalucía and Mallorca have some superb Championship courses and we can normally book tee off times in advance.

Spanish cookery classes
From autumn to spring, Jeannie Chesterton runs one-week cookery courses for groups of up to six people in Finca Buenvino. Learn to cook traditional Andaluz recipes, the legacy of the Caliphate of Córdoba; while North African Mahgrebi influences will be evident in the use of spices and nuts and the combination of sweet and savoury ingredients.

One-week multi-interest holidays
We are delighted to offer these new themed weeks in Andalucía. Based at Casa de Medina in the historic heart of Medina Sidonia, you will discover some of the delights and cultural treasures of this diverse and beautiful area of Spain.

A typical week will include:

  • Visits to Arcos de la Frontera, Cádiz, Jerez, Seville and Vejer de la Frontera
  • Walks through the Grazelema or Alcornocales Natural Parks; entrance into the Tio Pepe Bodega and the Royal Andalucían School of Equestrian Art in Jerez
  • A cookery demonstration of popular tapas with a qualified chef
