Programme covers: Day one: this will be spent getting your bearings, visiting your surroundings, and absorbing the characteristics of the landscapes, nearby buildings and getting inspiration from the local people and culture. Group exercises and one-to-one tutorials will take place to discuss individual strengths and experience. Day two: will be spent capturing the colours and texture of the landscape. Day three: a demonstration will be given on alternative methods, such as the use of a sponge for large washes, dragging paints and defining details with pastels or charcoal. Day four: free day to relax or an excursion can be arranged for those wishing to explore Crete further. Day five: this will be spent experimenting with watercolours and pastels in the landscape. Day six: a demonstration on the use of masking fluid, random washes with inks and watercolours, painting landscapes with buildings. Day seven: will be spent viewing your work and any problem solving.
